The aim of historical Jesus research is to identify the authentic material from which the historical figure as a social type underneath the overlay is constructed. Pieter Craffert's anthropological historiography offers an alternative framework for dealing with Jesus of Nazareth as a social personage fully embedded in a first-century Mediterranean worldview and the Gospels as cultural artefacts related to this figure. This cross-cultural model represents a religious pattern that refers to a family of features for describing those religious entrepreneurs who, based on regular Altered State of Consciousness experiences, perform a specific set of social functions in their communities.
A speculative hypothesis is presented according to which the ancient Israelite religion was associated with the use of entheogens (mind-altering plants used in sacramental contexts). The hypothesis is based on a new look at texts of the Old Testament pertaining to the life of Moses. The ideas entertained here were primarily based on the fact that in the arid areas of the Sinai peninsula and Southern Israel there grow two plants containing the same psychoactive molecules found in the plants from which the powerful Amazonian hallucinogenic brew Ayahuasca is prepared. The two plants are species of Acacia tree and the bush Peganum harmala. The hypothesis is corroborated by comparative experiential-phenomenological observations, linguistic considerations, exegesis of old Jewish texts and other ancient Mideastern traditions, anthropological lore, and ethnobotanical data.
This is the story of Jason, my Indigo child...Thus begins the story of Ann Andrews, a mother living in England with a unique experience to share about her life and her son, Jason. What sets Jason apart from the many other young children who are now being born with exceptional multi-dimensional abilities called "Indigo Children" is that Jason is not only an abductee, but is himself of extraterrestrial origin. Jason explains that "Technically we are all Extraterrestrials, because there is no one amongst you who 'comes' from here."After years of uncertainty, Jason progressed from an initial standpoint of fear and terror to a point in his teens when he began accepting "their" teachings and to acknowledge who he is - one of many Indigo or Star Children here on Earth helping humanity to evolve to the next evolutionary step. Jason says he came to our planet with two purposes: "I wanted to experience what it was like to be human, and as a human, I would be in a better position to help the rest of you when the time comes."Now that Jason has "awakened" to who he truly is, he welcomes their interaction and works with the ETs. He has developed into a powerful psychic with amazing healing abilities. Walking Between Worlds - Belonging to None offers a fascinating account of strange and unusual events; yet it also takes us into new realms of possibilities where humanity takes its place as Cosmic Citizens; realizing our divine destiny in which Earth becomes a station of light, a point of great radiance and vitality, beaming out into the Universe. This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. First, he was a Jew and a title that does not really fit. but if you mean more like "some cultures what is called a shaman, able to use shaman-like powers and things," then this is not a complete stranger of belief. My personal opinion is that was very powerful, naturally endowed Kabbalist. but something that very possibly have been able to do, was very similar to shamanism of other cultures.
We can not go where there are no words to us. We can not know what it is almost impossible to express without using metaphors. History was kept alive through various metaphors. The Old Testament is full of metaphors that have been historized the biblical canons. Too many of our current metaphors do not work. We are in desperate need of new and more modern metaphors.
What metaphors can we accept, that will give us a better understanding of God, put Jesus paradigm more accurate cross Make more sense? What metaphors can we give to our children, that the Code of Conduct will be immediately worth remembering? What stories can we say that it will awaken the majesty of life and take us on a journey indescrible fascination?
Many of the old religion, the models need to rebuild, forgotten or replaced today, pictures and images.
We must not only look for new answers, but we must be wise, and the courage to ask entirely new questions that will lead us into unchartered waters, will to increase our awareness of each new feeling, but not freightening us things that go "bump in the night." In other words, we check our egos and uncertainty as to the door before you enter.
Self-righteousness is not welcome either.
I think in the end we discover that we all have much more in common than we imagine. Shamans, kahuna, priests. magicians and spiritual healers will find much in common with scientists and intellectuals. Although we are not yet able CONECT dots, "Aha" moment (s) not are so far away.
What metaphor cna be used as an example to explain how the human heart can not think, remember his cell and energy, which emits a manner that goes beyond the boundaries of our solar system. Our challenges require environmental great grace, tolerance and how to work together from the community togeher wildly different.
